About Us

Stephenville Elks Lodge #2834 — photo 1

For more than thirty years, Stephenville Elks Lodge #2834 has stood as a proud pillar of Erath County, located right on West Hyman Street. Walk through our doors any Thursday night and you’ll smell slow-smoked brisket, hear laughter echoing from the game room, and see neighbors pitching in to pack care boxes for local veterans. Founded by a handful of ranchers and teachers who believed “Elks Care, Elks Share,” our lodge has quietly raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Texas children’s hospitals, scholarships, and veteran support programs. Whether you’re a lifelong Stephenville resident or new to town, you’ll find genuine handshakes, honest conversation, and a place where your time and talents truly matter. From our annual Hoop Shoot free-throw contest on the courthouse square to holiday food drives that feed over 200 families each December, every event carries the same simple promise: when you give back, you become part of something bigger than yourself.

What We Offer

Become a member and open the door to weekly dinners, live music, and Texas Hold’em tournaments that raise funds for local causes. Enjoy discounted event tickets, use of our private lounge and meeting spaces, and priority access to our annual golf scramble and trap-shoot. Bring the kids to our free Hoop Shoot and Drug Awareness programs, or volunteer with us on community clean-up days. Businesses can sponsor a hole, donate auction items, or partner on our Purple Pig fundraiser that supports the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. Veterans receive special recognition nights, job-networking mixers, and holiday care packages. Non-members are always welcome as guests at public events, come taste our famous Friday fish fry and see what the Elks spirit is all about.

A Proud Heritage

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
